Week Two: Advertising

I like this advert because it promotes one of the foods the company sells and shows a sequence of that specific food's "journey". It starts from just a potato to the chips and shows what happens to the chips when it is finished. The typography is simple and easy to read, and the images used in the advert are amusing. Sometimes, minimalised will catch someone's attention, and the colours used are bright.

What is a tagline?

- A tagline is a short statement that conveys the essence of a brand. In order to leave a lasting impression on customers, businesses utilise taglines in their marketing campaigns. Taglines provide customers with general information about the business without referring to the goods or services they provide.

What is a logo?

- Logos are text- and image-based icons that let us recognise popular brands. They can, however, be so much more! A strong logo serves as the foundation for your company. It facilitates clients' understanding of your business, values, and identity. That's a significant burden for such a small picture! Read our article or watch the video below to learn more about a logo and how to use it to your advantage.

McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It" campaign was launched in 2003 to reinvigorate the brand and appeal to a younger demographic. The campaign was initially successful, but it also encountered several problems.

An advertising message is an idea an advertiser wants to communicate to their target audience. Its goal is to convince people to perform a specific action, such as registering, purchasing something, or making a reservation.

Marketers use these techniques to attract audience attention:

  1. Rule of thirds and the golden ratio
  2. Color psychology
  3. Testimonials
  4. Placement and typography
  5. Visual path
  6. Association
  7. Emotion
  8. Demographic positioning
  9. Symbolism
  10. Personification
  11. Realism

Research on the National Flower Of United Arab Emirates

For this post, I will share my research about the national flower of The United Arab Emirates, the Tribulus Omannense. I will create a boutique hotel in Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai, for my project. I will symbolise the country with the nation's flower, Tribulus Omannense. Since a boutique hotel is targeted at travellers, the concept of my hotel is inspired by the flower. Tribulus Omanense is a small flowering plant in the Zygophyllaceae family. Its delicate, yellow flowers have five petals and a distinct, spiky appearance (Anne, A. 2023). The flower is suitable for creating a hotel because of its simplicity, and it is easy to divide the rooms for the hotel. Since it has five petals, I made each petal a section for the hotel, for example, a lobby section and the rest of the rooms for each petal. Each petal will be enough to fit two hotel rooms. Although the number of rooms in my boutique hotel will be small, this will ensure a more personalised service to the customers, and the h...

WEEK SIX: Contacts

This is my contact page where you can reach out to me. I have listed the location of my workplace, which is the Art Factory. As I haven't decided whether to add my phone number or not, I have included a random number for now. You can contact me through my email address, and my website links such as Blogger and Instagram are also provided. This page which contains my contacts is a new page that I did and a button that leads to the page. The image above is a lightbox that I added at the very bottom of all of my pages.

Research on boutique hotel (Edited)

This post will be about my research on boutique hotels. The simplest definition of a boutique hotel is “a small, sophisticated, and fashionable business or establishment“. (Giulietta, 2024) Boutique hotels are mainly for people who travel for a short time and want a personalised experience during their stay. The boutique hotel interests me because of its size and the difference in experience compared to a typical hotel. The main reason behind this is that boutique hotels have better quality control, ensuring the guest experiences a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in these hotels' design makes them unique. Boutique hotels are usually made to be one-of-a-kind (WOOLF, 2023) and with that being stylish and trendy. Their designs are more towards elegance and luxury, but the prices are still reasonable. This is suitable for my project as the location for it is in Dubai. A developing country where there are a lot of travellers and tourists passing through. Also, Dubai is known f...
