Major project research: Target Audience

What is a Target Audience? Identifying your target audience to create ad campaigns that will reach the right people is essential. Factors that could influence your target audience include age, gender, income, location, interests, and more. ( Evolution, M. (2022)  Marketing Evolution) It is essential to specify the target audience for my major project based on their age, location, marital status, and family background. The intended audience would be young individuals, especially those from the GenZ generation, newly married couples, and adventure seekers who enjoy outdoor activities. I am working on a significant project that focuses on a modern treehouse. The primary target audience for this project is people who love nature, adventure, and outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking. The concept of a modern treehouse is new and unique, which is why it is expected to attract young individuals who are looking for something exciting and unconventional. ...

Initial research: Mood Board

Mood Board After conducting my initial research, I can finally create a Mood Board for my Major Project, which will assist me in communicating my design concepts and ideas.

Initial Research: Frank Lloyd Wright

I am working on an architecture project where I am designing a modern treehouse and studying the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. Frank Lloyd Wright was a renowned architect who created buildings that blended harmoniously with their surroundings. He famously promoted the "organic architecture" concept, which focused on designing buildings in sync with nature. His significant achievements included his innovative designs and efficient space utilisation. Wright is considered the "greatest American architect of all time"  (by the American Institute of Architects) after spending seven decades in the field before he died in 1959.  (2023) Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation During Wright's time, most Americans preferred European-style buildings, which he found unacceptable. He believed architecture was the "mother of all the arts" and should reflect and celebrate the country's unique character, landscape, people, and democratic ideals. Wright's love for his co...

WEEK THREE: Final major project - research and design boards

Final major project - research and design boards Subject Area : Architecture Project Title : Tree House Residential Area PROJECT AIM For my architecture project, I will be designing a modern treehouse for a residential area located in Malaysia. The treehouse will be built using the trees in a forest as the foundation, and sustainable materials will be used for the house. The chosen materials will feature a modern look and be able to withstand different weather conditions like heat waves and thunderstorms, ensuring the tree lasts long and is safe for the residents. I plan to create 2-4 architectural design boards, including the concept and concept drawings, floor plans, elevations, site details, environmental factors, and a 3D design made in Sketchup software. The project will be completed by the deadline at the end of November. WEEK THREE: MILANOTE

In this post, I will be sharing my Milanote board which helped me with my project research. It serves as a great resource to keep track of what's next for my project. MILANOTE

WEEK THREE: FIRST TERM MAJOR PROJECT INITIAL IDEAS

First Term Project Initially, my idea was to design buildings that can withstand any weather conditions and are more sustainable. In the United Kingdom, there are four seasons in a year, and some buildings are not designed to withstand different weather conditions. For instance, during winter, people going inside shopping malls still feel cold, which makes them uncomfortable despite being inside a building. Therefore, I decided to design buildings with suitable materials that can withstand any temperature throughout the year. The aim is to make people feel comfortable everywhere they go, ensuring their safety and well-being. HOW CAN A BUILDING BE SUSTAINABLE? What is Sustainable? Sustainable construction means building with renewable and recyclable resources and materials. During construction projects, care must be taken to reduce waste and energy consumption where possible and protect the natural environment around the site. The end result of a sustainable construction project must be...

WEEK 2: SESSION TWO : CREATION OF FLYERS AND LOGOS

Week Two: Advertising

I like this advert because it promotes one of the foods the company sells and shows a sequence of that specific food's "journey". It starts from just a potato to the chips and shows what happens to the chips when it is finished. The typography is simple and easy to read, and the images used in the advert are amusing. Sometimes, minimalised will catch someone's attention, and the colours used are bright. "Our sustained performance gives us confidence that our strategy is working, as more customers experience a better McDonald's daily." - Steve Easterbrooks, president and c.e.o of McDonald's Corp What is a tagline? - A tagline is a short statement that conveys the essence of a brand.
