In this post, I will share the 2D outcomes I created for my portfolio.
All of this is hand-made using a pencil on A3 Paper, then a light board and an ink pen to enhance the lines of the Sketch on a new sheet of A3 paper. I have created 5 outcomes, as seen below. For the elevations, I noticed that side elevations and front elevations would look similar, so I decided to make only one elevation.
Floor Plans
These are the floor plans for my boutique hotel. The first-floor plan is the reception and the hotel restaurant. I first made the lobby area with a curved reception counter. Behind it is the restaurant, rooms for the office, and the restrooms for the guests. There will also be a kitchen area inside the restaurant. At the sides, I have made hallways towards the main lift to different floors and also the centre section. The centre section of the boutique hotel is the pistil of the flower. This is a small garden area. The purpose of this area is to add an esthetic and comfortable area for any guest to rest or enjoy the hotel's interior. Next, the floor plan for all the petals. The other petals will be hotel rooms; each will have two rooms with a living area, kitchen, dining area, bedrooms and a balcony for each room. Some rooms will have two bedrooms for families of three to stay. The hotel rooms also include bathrooms, depending on the type of room.
Site Plan
The site plan for the project is perfect for the boutique hotel. It is flat land located near a shopping district, suitable for guests to go shopping without having to walk long distances back to their hotel. It also has enough space for a small parking area for guests who rent a vehicle.
3DSketchh
This is the 3D sketch of the boutique hotel. The spiral design is for its unique design, and when it is observed from above, it looks like the national flower of Dubai, the Tribulus Omannense.
Top view
This is the top-view sketch of the boutique hotel. As mentioned above, it resembles the Tribulus Omannense, Dubai's national flower. This unique hotel concept will be the main attraction for anyone who passes by.
Front Elevation
This is the front elevation sketch for the hotel. As seen from above, its spiral design makes it unique, and the petals/rooms are not too big to ensure balance for the hotel.
