For this post, I will share the plan for my 3D outcome.
Before I start to make any decisions for my project, I need to have a better visual understanding of my own project. Hence, I started to make a prototype of what the final 3D outcome will look like. I used cardboard and acetate to create the prototype. I first used the dimensions I had calculated and cut pieces of cardboard according to the measurements. As seen below, this is the outcome of the prototype. I encountered a few problems while making this prototype. This includes the edges of the walls being visible and the wall's surfaces not being smooth. In addition, the measurements of the pieces need to be corrected.
Therefore, I will need to be more precise in measuring the pieces and cutting out templates before cutting the wood I will use for the project. This will save time and avoid waste of materials if there are errors during the execution of the final 3D outcome. Next, I will sand the edges of the walls so that they will fit perfectly and not leave any edges when glued together.
After finishing the prototype, I have a better visual understanding of the final 3D outcome and have avoided mistakes I made when making the final 3D outcome.
