Website Update (Edited)

In this post, I will share the changes I have made to my website.

I have changed my website's front page, name, and navigation buttons.

First, I changed the main image of some of my work to personalise the website and make it more relevant to my projects. This includes the pictures of the 3D outcome of my latest project. I have also changed the colours of the website's name from black to white. It is now easier to read the website's name than before. I have also shortened the name of the website to keep it simple.

Then, I added a new page for my latest project, Tribulus Hotel. This page contains information about the project. I designed the page to be simple and not complicated for the readers. I used an orange background, as orange is the primary colour of my website. I added a short commentary about the project and the title at the top.

Lastly, I added a gallery page to showcase my work on this project, such as the dimensions and sketches. I have used a gallery template to showcase my work, as it can be clicked to enlarge the pictures and the commentary on those pictures. It is showcased as a slide picture from left to right; contents can be shown when clicking the white arrow on the right of the gallery. This is suitable for showcasing my work because it is easy for readers to navigate through the contents of the project.

Research on the National Flower Of United Arab Emirates

For this post, I will share my research about the national flower of The United Arab Emirates, the Tribulus Omannense. I will create a boutique hotel in Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai, for my project. I will symbolise the country with the nation's flower, Tribulus Omannense. Since a boutique hotel is targeted at travellers, the concept of my hotel is inspired by the flower. Tribulus Omanense is a small flowering plant in the Zygophyllaceae family. Its delicate, yellow flowers have five petals and a distinct, spiky appearance (Anne, A. 2023). The flower is suitable for creating a hotel because of its simplicity, and it is easy to divide the rooms for the hotel. Since it has five petals, I made each petal a section for the hotel, for example, a lobby section and the rest of the rooms for each petal. Each petal will be enough to fit two hotel rooms. Although the number of rooms in my boutique hotel will be small, this will ensure a more personalised service to the customers, and the h...

WEEK SIX: Contacts

This is my contact page where you can reach out to me. I have listed the location of my workplace, which is the Art Factory. As I haven't decided whether to add my phone number or not, I have included a random number for now. You can contact me through my email address, and my website links such as Blogger and Instagram are also provided. This page which contains my contacts is a new page that I did and a button that leads to the page. The image above is a lightbox that I added at the very bottom of all of my pages.

Research on boutique hotel (Edited)

This post will be about my research on boutique hotels. The simplest definition of a boutique hotel is “a small, sophisticated, and fashionable business or establishment“. (Giulietta, 2024) Boutique hotels are mainly for people who travel for a short time and want a personalised experience during their stay. The boutique hotel interests me because of its size and the difference in experience compared to a typical hotel. The main reason behind this is that boutique hotels have better quality control, ensuring the guest experiences a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in these hotels' design makes them unique. Boutique hotels are usually made to be one-of-a-kind (WOOLF, 2023) and with that being stylish and trendy. Their designs are more towards elegance and luxury, but the prices are still reasonable. This is suitable for my project as the location for it is in Dubai. A developing country where there are a lot of travellers and tourists passing through. Also, Dubai is known f...
